Hi there folks,

If you have any questions about the workshop, please feel free to ask them here.

Has anyone decided what they would like to play?

Cheers,

Josh

What's everyone playing for the trio night?
I was thinking Gershwin's Summertime, but comping non-root chords for that song proves to be not so easy...

Cool tune...

What in particular is difficult about the rootless chords?

Hey what was that Oscar link that you liked the other day? That was really cool..

Uhh they're just rootless.. maybe I'm not familiar with playing Dm without the D.

Here's Oscar's version of Summertime:

Yep it takes a bit of practise, but like everything, it just takes a bit of time and patience :)

Hello All,

I think I might try 'take the a train'. Don't expect to much, but it should be fun!

Not sure what young Tom is going to do yet.

All the best,
Richard

Sounds good Richard. We should tee up a casual lesson this week to get you ready for the workshop if it would interest you. I have some pointers that may help you out. Maybe a quick halfa when Tom has his lesson with Gids? Regardless, looking forward to hearing it on Saturday. Very excited..

Has anyone else confirmed their tune that they would like to run on Saturday? This is going to be a really unique experience and I'd like everyone to be pumped about this workshop more than the other workshops! Going to be lots of fun :D
